Meeka Metals Reports Higher September Quarter Gold Production

Meeka Metals (ASX:MEK) reported gold production of 7,237 ounces at its Murchison gold project for the September quarter, up from 6,424 ounces in the previous quarter, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
Underground mining at Andy Well continued to exceed ore reserve expectations, producing 39,500 tonnes at a grade of 3.9 grams per tonne of gold and delivering 4,900 ounces of gold during the quarter, per the filing.
Open-pit mining ceased in July as development began on the company's second underground mine at Turnberry, the filing said.
The company's cash balance rose to AU$51 million at Sept. 30, up from AU$38 million at June 30, the filing added.
